*Hello Lovelies*

Hello lovelies!
How are you all?

If you are a UK cutie, I do hope you have been enjoying this sunshiney weather we have been having!
Hasn't it been delicious?
Well I feel as if I've neglected the blog a little over the last few weeks (or is that months?!?) & only posting product-y type posts but it has been super duper busy at Vintage Amethyst HQ lately
which is great, at the moment I've feel as if I don't know whether I'm coming or going!
*giggle*

I've been trying to organise the business unit (Vintage Amethyst HQ) better too, which has taken up weekends & evenings but I think I'm nearly there (oh I've just been thinking about that comment & there is still a lot to do *eek*) & it feels a much better, ok lets say it, a prettier, place to work now!
I am so looking forward to Easter Weekend too, I do love this time of year don't you?

Anyhoo, I just wanted to let you know that I'm still here & doing ok & hopefully will make more of an effort to make this blog a happier place to be again!!!

Sending you lots of love & Spring happiness ...

*Meringue Kisses*

Oh my, just how pretty do these look with their pastel deliciousness
MERINGUE KISSES
by A-list cake creator Peggy Porschen

This is a lovely idea for Wedding Reception treats from

Mini meringues add a lovely touch to your dessert table and, with a long shelf life (up to three months in a dry, airtight container), they are the perfect favours wrapped in cellophane bags. This recipe makes approximately 100 meringues.
INGREDIENTS
100g egg whites (3 large eggs) * Pinch of salt * 100g caster sugar *1 tsp vanilla extract * 100g icing sugar, sifted • Pink, blue and yellow liquid food colour
EQUIPMENT
3 large plastic piping bags * 3 star piping nozzles
METHOD
Preheat oven to 80°C/gas mark ¼. Line two baking trays with greaseproof paper. Place egg whites and pinch of salt into the bowl of an electric mixer (make sure it is completely grease-free) and whisk at high speed. As the whites thicken, slowly sprinkle the caster sugar into the mix. Be careful not to over-whisk. Add the vanilla extract and slowly fold in the icing sugar using a rubber spatula. Separate the mixture into three parts; keep the first white, mix the second with pink liquid food colour and the third with blue and yellow liquid food colour for a pastel aqua shade. Place a star nozzle in each piping bag then fill each one with a different coloured mixture. Pipe little rosettes onto the lined baking trays. Place in the preheated oven for 2-3 hours or until they have dried out.

*Happy Mother's Day*

Happy Mother's Day

It is a day of mixed emotions today.
It is the first Mother's Day without my precious Mum & the first for my sister without her daughter, but a new life was given to us as a family yesterday.
My other sister's daughter had a baby girl, so I am a Great-Aunt again!
She has been given both my Mum's name & my niece's name who both passed away last year.
She will never get to meet both of these wonderful ladies but I hope she is like them in everyway.
I hope you all have a wonderful day today & if you are spending it without your Mum too, I hope you can take comfort in all your wonderful memories of your times together.

*The Wedding Fair*

I took a few photos of the wedding fair on Sunday so here they are!
It was at the beautiful Headlam Hall Country Hotel & Spa, which is so so wonderful.
Well here is the stall.
I was in the Edwardian suite which is incredibly pretty.
I was next to the menswear stall so that is why there is a male mannequin standing by ~ perhaps he could be a groom for Dolly, my pretty mannequin who comes with me to fairs.
Anyhoo, here are some more photos.
As I said I was in the Edwardian Suite & I took a photo of the room before the brides-to-be arrived ...
The hotel had kindly put lunch on for all the exhibitors so there were a couple of tables in the centre with lots of little triangles of sandwiches, cakes & tea & coffee for everyone.
You can just see my stall sneaking into view in the right hand corner.
It was a wonderful Spring day & a very busy day too, so it was lovely to meet all the brides-to-be & all the other exhibitors too.
Don't forget you can take a peek at the full

*The Tea Party*

I found this little poem & thought it was cute!

The Tea Party

I had a little tea party
This afternoon at three.
'Twas very small-
Three guest in all-
Just I, myself and me.

Myself ate all the sandwiches,
While I drank up the tea;
'Twas also I who ate the pie
And passed the cake to me.
