*Wishing you a lovely weekend*

I would like to say thank you so so much to everyone who sent kind messages & e-mails regarding my Mum.
I really appreciated everyones messages & felt overwhelmed by everyone's kindness & love.
It's been a very difficult time over the last week & her funeral was on Wednesday but I feel as it up until then I was pre-occupied with organising & sorting things out & now I feel the most difficult of times are to come ~ the 'getting back to normal life'!
I've decided to open the Vintage Amethyst shop again, I wasn't going to so soon but as I know this will keep me busy I feel it may help.
So I've opened the shop again today.
Anyhoo I just wanted to say thank you so much for all your kindness
&
have a really lovely
Easter Weekend.
Hope you all have lots of fun ...

*Very Sad News*

I just wanted to let everyone know that my Mum
lost her battle with cancer &
sadly passed away on Monday night.
I've closed Vintage Amethyst for the time being & I'm not sure when I will re-open.

Thank you to everyone who gave support over this last year & I thank you for all the kindness everyone has shown during this horrid time.

Please be kind & patient with me if you are waiting for any order or indeed an e-mail, I know you will all understand & I thank you ...

*A Royal Gift From Cath Kidston*

The other day I received a rather marvellous e-mail from
Cath Kidston HQ!
The e-mail said they are a big fan of my blog & that they would love to celebrate the
Royal Wedding with me & pop a little present in the post to me!
Well I was in quite a tizz, a gift from the ever lovely Cath Kidston, how truly wonderful!
I couldn't wait!
I didn't know what it was going to be & then a couple of days late this lovely package turned up!
My lovely post lady even knocked on the door rather than posting it as she said 'it looked too delicate to post' aahhh how lovely of her & certainly a compliment on the Cath Kidston packaging.
Inside was one of the fabulous Royal Wedding Tea Towels!
*Hurrah*
How lovely & thank you so much Cath Kidston HQ!
Funnily enough only a night or two before I was thinking about the old tea towel hangers from the 70's, remember those? They were a line at the top with a hanger & a line at the bottom where you clipped the tea towels in & & then you could hang them up in your kitchen!
We had one of those, but I can't remember what tea towel was in it, I only remember it was orange ~ (oooohhh lovely) I will have to ask my Mum see if she can remember!
Anyhoo how completely lovely of Cath Kidston HQ to send me such a lovely e-mail in the first place & to send such a lovely gift to celebrate the Royal Wedding, they didn't ask me to do this blog post or anything! But of course I was going to!
*tee hee*
I'm going to display my Tea Towel proudly for the Royal Wedding but then it is going to be packed up safely as a keepsake of the special occasion & something I can hopefully pass on to my children & tell the little tale of the day I received a lovely e-mail & gift from such a lovely iconic company.
You can see the special Royal Wedding Tea Towels at the Cath Kidston website *here*
They are £10 & there are lots more fab Royal Wedding goodies to be found too so do pop along!
I'm quite loving the William & Kate bag!
Yes we certainly do ...
... & if you've missed this weeks Vintage Amethyst *Product of the Week* it is these
really sweet William & Kate Union Jack Hanging Hearts & everyone is loving them ~ one is even making it's way to Arizona in the US today!
They are a super duper bargain at only £3.50 each, find them *here*
Thank you so much again Cath Kidston, I love my sweet gift ...

*Thank You & a Winner!*

So following on from my last post about doing the Race for Life, I want to thank three people now who have sponsored me who either read about it here on the blog or on twitter.
The lovely Amanda from Pandy Potter Bears
the super wonderful Jayne from Red Lilly
&
Lisa from Kandipandi Blog
Thank you so much lovely ladies you are so kind.
I really appreciate your generosity.
I'm pleased to say that I have currently raised £175 for Cancer Research but I really hope I can do better!
My Mum is really poorly at the moment with this terrible disease & was taken in to hospital again yesterday & she will be in over Mothers Day too.
*sad face*
But at least by doing the Race for Life & trying to raise as much as I can (whether this means I have to be a little bit cheeky to ask for help with sponsorship) for Cancer Research I feel as it I'm making a difference & every little bit helps.
I will leave the button up over there on the right & if you can sponsor a £1 or £2 please do, thank you.

Now on to the winner of the Twitter Giveaway.

The winner was @Laurelweddings who has won those pretty HOME letters.

*Congratulations*

Have a lovely weekend everyone ...
