I love love love the show Mad Men!

I am completely & utterly smitten with it!

I am absolutely green with envy that the new series, Season 4 started in the US on Sunday, when are we getting the chance to see it, oh say soon please, PLEASE?

I mean what isn't there to love ~ a 60's drama, full of glamour, wonderful furniture & homes, fabulous dresses oh & of course Jon Hamm too!

Oh & as for the beautiful Christina Hendricks who plays Joan Holloway (she is always Joan Holloway isn't she even though she married that horror of a man!) with those curves & beautiful outfits!

Oh I did I mention Mr Jon Hamm as the wonderful Don Draper!

I dream to be Mrs Don Draper *day dream* but really who could beat Betty Draper as a beautiful perfect housewife!

This is something that is one of those pretty things that is just intantly cheering ~ my wonderful vintage style apron.

I was browsing the Dunelm Mill website in the Spring, looking at their pretty polka dot oilcloth & I came across this little beauty, isn't it just adorable?

So of course I had to have it, so asked my terribly lovely sister if she wouldn't mind picking this up for me along with the polka dot oilcloth the next time she visited, as she has a Dunelm Mill just near her & she did straight away that afternoon & brought it to me that very weekend as she was visiting ~ she is wonderfully lovely you see!

Isn't it just so cheery though in it's perfect vintage baking day style & such a super duper bargain at only £3.99 too!!!

Hallo everyone!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately, the shop has been soooo busy over this last few weeks & everything is all go at the moment.

 Friday afternoon we did get a break as we decided to take ourselves off for the afternoon & visited Leyburn & trundled for hours through the wonderfully beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

The sunshine had come back & it was such a beautiful & hot day.

We treated ourselves to an afternoon off as we knew we would be both working on the Saturday so it is still all go & busy busy busy but I hope to fit more blogging in next week ...

I thought I would share a few thrify finds I have bought recently.

Firstly are these adorable vintage tea plates.

I picked these up from a wonderful market stall in Masham in Wensleydale, the stall was jam packed full of lots of lovely vintage wares.

These little pretties only cost me 50p for the lot! Bargain.

Next fab thrifty find is this little vintage cabinet that I picked up on Saturday.

It is just perfect for our living room & it only cost £5!

I'm going to paint it in Farrow & Ball's Cornforth White I think & find a sweet little glass door knob to pop on too.

 ♥

I will be sure to take 'after' photos of it when it is all done & pretty.
