*The Little Grey Cabinet*

Remember the little cabinet I picked up a few weeks ago (blogged here) well it was soon all prettied & now here it is as I know some of you wanted to see it finished.
It now sits in the living room beside the sofa & blends perfectly with the other painted furniture & decor in the room.
I was going to paint it in Farrow & Balls Cornforth White & we went to a local independent shop to get it mixed up (as luckily they do this as we only have Homebase's limited palette of F & B colours otherwise!) but as we were stood at the counter waiting to be served we spotted some paints which had been reduced & they had this wonderful grey called 'Wolf Grey' & it looked just perfect. The lady who came to serve us said that these paints were really good (I think they were a heritage style paint from Johnstone's) & so we decided to go with this one plus it was only £4.99 for the tin, so bargain!
Anyhoo I'm so glad we did as I just love this colour!
I wanted a little pretty galss knob for it & found one on Ebay for £4.50 with postage, so that was added & I think it looks sweet.
I loved this paint so much that some of our bedroom furniture has just been painted in it & so this little tin certainly has gone a long way & for such a bargain price too plus there is even smidgen left for another small project!
*yay*

  3. That has turned out really well! I love the Farrow and Ball paint and the Little Greene Paint Co paint but sometimes you can just hit on in the regular ranges. Lots of woodwork in my home is painted with the Dulux Parsonage Cream Eggshell, i love it.

  4. It's nice to see a fellow North Easterner. I once lived in Darlington too just off North Road on Zetland Street but it only lasted a few months I missed Durham too much! I am a crazy nomad.
